Volunteers Always Needed

The Massillon Parks & Recreation Department is always looking for volunteers. Our Volunteer Program gives an individual or organization the opportunity to serve and give back to the community. Opportunities available through this program vary from helping to coach a youth sports team to assisting with planting a tree. Your commitment can range from a few hours per year to a weekly schedule. We are sure to have a volunteer position that is right for you! Please call 330-832-1621 for more information about this rewarding program.

Nothing cancels a good program quicker than everyone waiting until the last minute to register. If there are not enough registrants by a certain date, the program may be cancelled. Registering on the day of the event will not save the program. Please register for all events as early as possible. For your convenience online registration is available.

Access to All Americans with Disabilities Act

This landmark civil rights legislation went into effect January 26, 1992. It was a significant step forward in the effort to make our society’s services and opportunities fully available to all Americans by combating barriers and prejudices that confront those persons with special challenges and needs. The Massillon Parks & Recreation Department welcomes all individuals and families regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or ability. If you are a person with a disability and would like more information and support for accessibility of programs and facilities, please give us a call at 330-832-1621.
